HEDRICK BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION ANNOUNCES SECOND LEED
CERTIFIED BUILDING PROJECT
ECOPLEX ACHIEVES GOLD LEVEL STATUS
West Palm Beach, FL (October 2009) -- Hedrick Brothers Construction is pleased to announce its second LEED® certified building project. EcoPlex at Centrepark West, completed in September 2008, has achieved a LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) under the LEED for Core and Shell Rating System. Located in the Centrepark Office District, West Palm Beach, FL, and developed by Navarro Lowrey, Inc., the four-story office building with adjacent garage is the first Class “A”, multi-tenanted “green” office building of its kind in Palm Beach County and among the largest to adopt sustainable building practices in Florida.
Hedrick Brothers Construction has completed two additional LEED projects including: EcoCentre, applied for Gold Certification, Lake Worth; and Palm Healthcare Pavilion, West Palm Beach achieved LEED certification to the Silver level in the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) category of LEED for New Construction. Two LEED-registered projects are currently under construction: Northboro Elementary School, West Palm Beach, registered as a Silver LEED for Schools certification, West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Community College Technical Education Center, Belle Glade, registered as a Gold LEED for New Construction certification.
